2012 Ford Select Shift transmission?
I have a 2012 Ford Fusion Sport AWD with this ''Select-shift transmission'' thing. I know how it works, but what are the configurations of it? How many gears can I go into, and or start off from?
" but what are the configurations of it? "
There isn't any "configuration" you tap + to up a gear tap - to go down a gear.
"How many gears can I go into,"
Six forward, one reverse
" and or start off from"
It'll probably only let you start out from 1st or 2nd, maybe 3rd. It it's like other transmissions of it's type, it'll probably automatically go to 1st whenever you stop, and downshift automatically if you floor the accelerator.
- Gears in my manual transmission Ford Ranger are difficult to shift when the engine is running. Why is this? This usually happens in the morning or if I have not driven in a while usually when its cold out. Once the car gets warmed it gets easier.
- Can a 3 prong 1990 Ford A4ld transmission harness for the ranger 2.9l connect to a 89 a 2 prong shift solinoid on an 89 stang a4ld? Working on taking a dead a4ld out my 1990 ford ranger 2.9l The harness is my only concern to the shift solinoid… It has 3 prong harness but my tranny that will be swapped in is a 89 2.3l ford mustang transmission. Everything else swaps over but need this info.
- 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 won't shift into drive after being driven. Takes longer than should to shift into drive when first started? It will go in reverse fine. First thing in the morning when I leave for work, it will shift into drive on it's own, but takes a bit longer than it should. After getting it warm, won't shift into drive at all. I can shift down to 1st or 2nd, then back into drive and it will "pop up" into drive within a second or 2. I also have a ODB2 error P1744 (Torque Converter circuit).
- I have a 2007 Ford Five hundred that when I shift when it's off it moves. But when I turn the car on & shift it won't move It's a TBS transmission. It's not making any noise either. I was told it could be computer on the transmission?
