2012 Ford Fusion, is it safe to travel over mountains?
Looking to travel to the Grand Canyon, I'm located in Indiana, my car is a 2912 Ford Fusion, and I was curious if it would be safe to take it there
I don't see the problem… They probably have good roads there… Make sure you have a spare tire.
Of course it is safe as long as the car is running as it should.
You'll be fine but a spare tires always a good idea when going long distance or at least a can of fix a flat
Of course, why would it not be?
Yes it will be fine. Air is thin at altitude but ecu and sensors will adjust and keep it running though you may find power drops off until we return to sea level. Hot dry air also causes reduction in power output. Roads are mixed and some decent others a real nightmare. The real worry is the very poor driving over there.
be cautious. Have breakdown kit. Even spare water! Check car and have serviced at least 2 weeks before going. Thus any issues from servicing ( loose HT lead?) can be sorted. Mobile phone is useful but signals vary a lot too.
- Would a long travel suspension kit built for a Ford Ranger Edge/Sport also fit on a Ranger XLT? I found a long travel suspension kit made for a 2002 ranger edge/sport but I have a XLT same year. Would it still fit on and function the same?

- What car would be better for me 2012 infinity g37 sport or a 2012 mustang gt? I'm 18 and I'm getting ready to get a new car in 2 months. I've been driving an 03 Ford Focus and I'm ready to upgrade. I'm a very responsible driver and I've been driving for almost 4 years. So I wanna know what would be the best vehicle for me. And what is more reliable and cheaper to maintain?
- Would a 2013 ford fusion be good to take up PA mountains? I have a 4 cyl 2013 ford fusion that I just bought, and we take a trip once a year to PA and my mother would like to take my car this time around. I've only ever taken 6-8 cyls through there and am worried I might not be able to make it up the mountains with 4 people and luggage to boot.
