Ford Windstar 2002 Brake and ABS lights on?

I changed my front brakes recently and the two lights turned off. Now they came back on and I assume that I have to change my rear brakes. Could you please tell me what they mean?

You'll have to get the trouble codes read to find out why the ABS light is on.

A number of things can trigger the ABS light… A bad wire,… A bad wheel sensor,.air in the system

The car is described in an incorrect sequence. Please use the correct sequence. First the year. 2002. Then the brand. Ford. Then the model, Windstar. The vehicle is a 2002 Ford Windstar. OK? Next, this Windstar has an owner's manual that explains all of the icons, warning messages, knobs, etc. Installed. Please read the manual as to the "brake" and "ABS" warning icons. Each manufacture decides what these warning messages mean. When you wrote "I changed THE front brakes" (do not personalize things like most people are doing these days as this is incorrect grammar) do you mean a mechanic did the work or you, a non mechanic, did the work? Only trained, certified and license auto technicians should work repairing and servicing vehicles. Please go to a mechanic for proper repairs. No one else shall be able to tell you what is the issue. DO NOT DRIVE THIS VAN as is. Too dangerous.

ABS will never come on for low brake pads or shoes. Not for base brake system. Its for the Anti-Lock Brake System Find out what code is set
