Ford reliability in 2017?
Ford reliability in 2017? - 1
Added (1). I have been trying to get into a new car, probably into a lease soon. I have worked for Honda for about 2 years, but am still relatively new to the car industry. My question is, How is Ford? In terms of reliability? Maintenance costs? And how do they compare to Honda/Toyota, the so co-called golden children of the automotive industry. I have a friend who works for Ford and can get me a crazy good deal, is it worth looking into? Or shoot for the Honda/Toyota? Never owned a Ford, I'm curious!
Great
If you want the BEST made vehicle on the market… Get a FORD. It will last a long time.
J.D. Power's last initial reliability ratings has Ford near the bottom of all automakers. Certainly well below the industry average.

Asi asi
Ford had increased its reliability last few years and was level pegging with Toyota etc. However J D powers does tend to report unbiased data.
a point many unaware of is what sort of faults were reported? Minor ones as well as major are recorded.
I have had many cars over last 50 years. Mostly fords ( latest is too) had no major issues at all. Minor ones such as battery going flat and an alternator packed up once. Not bad of that sort of past. Bearing in mind number of cars I have driven. I would buy a Ford if we get a great deal. Assuming its a new car? It will have a warranty anyway. We can normally extend this for a small(ish) fee too.
- What would win, a 2017 Subaru WRX STI or a 2017 Ford Mustang 3.7 V6 if they raced I have a bet with a friend that the STI would win and he thinks the mustang would, I don't need statistics like "the mustang has 300hp and the STI has 305" and yes I'm aware the driver makes a huge difference being standard vehicles, thanks for the answers
- 2015 Ford Mustang reliability/maintenance? I'm thinking of getting a 2015 Mustang V6 with manual trans. Everyone keeps telling me how unreliable American cars, especially Mustangs, are. But I think if you take care of it, it should run fine. This is a car I'd want to hold on to for a good while and learn to work on myself--but I've heard the 2015's have a lot of electrical components that make working on it yourself more difficult and something you've got to take into the shop. Thoughts please!
- How to increase reliability on a Ford 300 inline 6? I know people say the Ford Inline 6 is pretty much bullet proof. I have one with 212k Miles and looking to rebuild it when I get some cash. Would Forged internals increase Reliability or just power. Now, if someone can give me a answer that'll make it more reliable and more power, well that's even better.
- How is ford as compared to toyota/honda, in terms of reliability? I have always heard people saying that toyota (camry) and honda (accord) are really good cars in terms of reliability, less frequency of needing repairs and they can very easily cross 200,000 mile mark. But, does any one know how are Fords (fusion) when it comes to frequency of needing repairs and crossing 200k miles mark?
