Ford Explore it pass smog but the comput has not deleted code show it failed smog?
I tried erasing code but to no avail it won't pass smog. It won't pass smog until I can erase the codes please help
#1.To erase the codes you pull the battery from the car. But after that if the codes pop up again then the computer is still reading that there's a problem and you will have to get it fixed.
#2. When the code is cleared you must drive the vehicle 100-200 miles before you can get a smog check. The reason why is because when they hook up their computer it will say there's no memory on your cars computer and make it an automatic fail.
#3. Most people say to drive it 200 miles because the computer should pop up with a service light/check engine light by then.
- Failed emissions test trouble code P0462? I have a 2004 Ford Taurus that couldn't pass the emissions test due to this code P0462. Is this a faulty fuel level sensor? I had a problem about 1yr ago with the gas gauge showing the empty when it wasn't. But that seems to be ok now. Or could it be a fuel pump? I'm not sure what to do.

- My transmission has failed due to a recalled part does Ford have to replace the whole transmission or just the recalled part? I have a 2005 Ford Freestar minivan one night when I was driving home the transmission went out on it while I was on the highway. After doing some research we found that the torque converter is a recalled part on this model. If the torque converter is the reason for the transmission failure does Ford have to replace my whole transmission as well or just the torque converter?
- I too having similar problem with car radio it's not asking for code but not picking up stations? It shows the radio station number but doesn't tune into it I've tried all sorts you can her it searching for station but just doesn' find it. Tried menu button TA settings even manually. It did work just recently bought car haven't got manual I think I pressed something & lost channels. It's RDS 5000 ford ka radio any suggestions?
