If a Ford is burning a litre of oil a week is that much?
This guy I know had an old Ford and he had to put 1 litre in it every week as that is what it burnt.
I consider that a car with a bad oil burning problem. Do you think the same?
Yes it sure has a problem
An old Ford. An old Ford. Depends on your definition of the word "old".
That's what happens to a motor that doesn't get the oil and filter changed every 3,000 miles. It's called abuse!
- Why was the 3.8 litre v6 1989 Essex engine so bad? I have an 89 ford thunderbird with the above engine in it. It only gets 140 hp and 215 ft pounds of torque? Like what the heck. Is the fuel computer just calibrated to a lean fuel air ratio? Is the stroke really short? Is it just highly ineficient? I would greatly apreciated if someone could shed some light on this. 3.8 litres is a lot of engine, am I mistaken in assuming that it should be better than it is?
- Ford focus c max filled up oil after a week dipstick shows no oil, no burning smell no weird noises no apparent leaks. Any ideas? Ford focus c max filled up oil after a week dipstick shows no oil, no burning smell no weird noises no apparent leaks… Any ideas?
