Will a Ford Focus with 116K miles on it do a road trip from the UK to Germany? (2,500 miles)?

It's got 116K on the clock, had a new Cambelt 3 months ago, four new tires two weeks ago and drives great, was serviced at the same time as getting the tires done but would it do the road trip? Going over 5 days.

Please only answer if you know about cars, I'm not looking for uneducated opinions in the nicest possible way.

Added (1). It might be helpful to add that it's a 2002

I'm sure you can drive there and back. Mileage really has nothing to do wether a car can make it to a destination or not. It really depends on the overall health of the car. Make sure your routine maintenance is done as well as necessary repairs and always check your tires and brakes as well as coolant. If all checks out well then you could easily make it.

  • 2007 ford focus on a 2000 mile road trip? I'm planning a road trip from Southwest Missouri to Upstate New York, I currently drive a 2007 Ford Focus. I recently had new tires, brakes, tension pulley, and serpentine belt put on as well as an oil change. My steering column does tend to shake when my car is going 60+ MPH but its never out of control.
