Why does my Ford Focus shake when maintaining 70 mph?
I've got a 2007 Ford Focus hatchback. My husband did an oil change on it about month ago. Since then there's a vibration. Everything feels fine until you go 70 mph. While trying to maintain the speed the whole car shakes. It feels like it is about to stall, but doesn't or at least, hasn't yet. The shaking stops when accelerating or decelerating. Its an automatic and the engine light pops on and off. It only happens while trying to maintain speed in the 69-71mph range.
Sounds like wheel balance, get your front wheels balanced any tyre place will do it.
Ford focus tends to be unstable at high speeds.
- My 2008 2 door ford focus has started to sputter and shake.what could the problem be? At first it started shaking then a couple days later, it started to sputter. I want to take it in but scared they will charge me a fortune on other things that aren't really the problem. Any advice?
- Why do american speedometers feature kph (kilometers per hour) on the inside and mph (miles per hour) on the outside? Here's a stock photo of a ford fiesta gauge cluster. Isn't 1 km longer than 1 mile? Therefore, it would make more sense to put km outside and miles inside, right?
- Why does my 2005 Ford Explorer idle low and shake when it starts up? Gauges flicker at this time as well but once I give it a little gas it seems to run fine. It continues to start fine until it sits for more than a hour then this happens again upon start up.
- Why does my 2000 Ford Explorer shake badly when taking a sharp right while lightly braking? Just had the front ball joints replaced (upper and lower). I took it for a test drive on a route with lots of turns. When taking the almost 90 degree turns at ~35mpg and lightly breaking (only when turning right), I felt like I had run onto a road with a bad washboard and some loose rocks. I've taken these same turns before the repair was done and no issues.
