I was told that Honda's last a million times longer that Ford's but the mileage gap between the two greatly favors the Focus
Hi so yes maybe however the Honda is a quality build something that can't be said for a ford car.
Look at the attached photo from the Consumer Reports 2009 annual car issue - this is from the reliability report. Look at the 2003 column for each car. That is six years of history that has been accumulated, so it is reasonable estimate. 130,000 miles on a 2003 Honda is not high. The Honda scores much, much higher in reliability than the Focus. No guarantee that the specific car is good/bad, but on average, a Honda Civic is more reliable than a Ford Focus.

- Why do illegal immigrants like to drive Chevrolets, Fords or GMC trucks? Everyone knows that Toyotas last 6 x longer? Except them? Why? btw, anyone noticed this? you don't hardly ever see them driving Toyotas, mostly Chevrolet or GMC trucks
- Why don't American cars last as long as Japanese cars? My family has owned a Ford Taurus and a Nissan Altima of similar model years. Both cars are still running, but the Taurus has very low mileage (it's a 1999 with only 85,000 miles) and the interior is in horrible condition and the plastics Ford put in have been known for breaking. None of this has happened with the Altima, even though it has more miles. Why?
