Where is the plug to drain coolant on my 2006 Ford Focus?
I'm quite sure k-seal has caused a blockage in my cooling system somewhere, as since using it the coolant level has been erratic, bottle empty one day, then higher the next e.t.c.
I want to flush old water out ( only use water) but where will I find the drain plug?
During flushing coolant, is it just the plug I remove or do I also have to disconnect radiator hoses too?
Check bottom of radiator and open cap.
The radiator drain plug will only drain the radiator, which is usually less than a gallon. Most shops just remove the lower radiator hose to drain. Much faster and it drains a portion of the engine block
Its a petcock. Just look for petcocks on block and bottom of radiator.
My guess is that your head gasket is going.
'Stpaulguy' has the best idea - just pull the lower radiator hose.
- 2002 ford taurus coolant bubbling out of coolant tank cap? Coolant is bubbling out of the tank cap on my taurus. The coolant is a bit over the fill to line. The coolant is the normal green color. I don't think it having a bit of extra coolant in the tank is doing this. The cap itself maybe? I just bought this car and it didn't do this until today.
