What happens if a recall can't be fixed?

I have a 2012 Ford focus it's been recalled. I took it to get fixed it worked fine now the same problem has come back. I'm taking to get fixed again.

Now what happens if it can't be fixed. I still owe on this car.

Ford will buy you a brand new car and pay off your loan or maybe there fix it right this time.

  • How much does it cost to get rust fixed? I have a '99 Ford Taurus and it has pretty severe rust on the rear wheel wells and rocker panels. The back half of my drivers side rocker panel has even fallen off! Someone told me they might have to cut out the rusted pieces and weld in new metal, but i was wondering about how much this might cost?
  • Is it ok to drive a car with a transmission fluid leak for a week before getting fixed? I have a 2007 ford ranger with only 38k miles on it, recenntly I have been having minor delays when shifting into drive from reverse before it catches and I actually move forward. So i checked my transmission fluid which seems to be pretty low a good amount below the cross hatched area. So I added more fluid and then saw some leak onto the garage floor within 30mins. I have not seen any leak before, could i still drive it before i get it fixed next week without causing more damage?
  • I took my car in to have the A/C fixed and now my windshield wipers don't work. What might be the problem? 2005 Ford Freestar Is this something I can fix easily myself or should I just bring it back to the shop?
  • O- ring in engine needs to be fixed? I have a Ford Focus and I was told the o-ring in the engine needs to be fixed. He said he needs to check again to make sure that's the problem. I have no idea what any of that means but could anyone guess an estimate of the cost for repairs? This is all the information I know that he told me so sorry if I didn't explain well He said that there's no pressure from the engine and something is wrong with the o-ring, I would just like to know what the cost would be like
