Thinking about buying this car, but don't know anything about vehicles
I was looking at this Ford Focus SES 2009 with about 123,000 miles. Priced around 7,999. Kbb says it's worth about 6,500 so there's some wiggle room in price. The Carfax shows that its battery has been replaced 2-3 times, and it's been sold at dealer auctions a few times as well. I was just wondering if the dealer auction is a bad thing? Or if that's an unreasonable amount of times the battery has gone bad? Thanks for your help in advance! Clueless about vehicles!
Stay away from the focus models 2008 to 2011, they are the worst made Focuses Ford ever made. You can get a 2012 SE Focus (this is the year they redesigned it and went with the European specs.awesome choice to do so) for less than $10K right now. I sold my 2012 Focus S for $11K when it had only 9K miles on it back in 2013 when I decided to upgrade to a 2013 Focus ST. And the only reason why a battery would go bad is that the alternator is bad and not maintaining the charge for the battery. (or the car has been sitting without running for too long)
Sold at dealer auction is always a bad thing, Basically it means it was traded in and they couldn't figure out why it had a parasitic battery draw in this case so they sold it at auction rather than on there used car lot, and apparently more than once
Too many miles
- I found a random part of my car. I don't know where its supposed to be? I own a 2013 ford convertible Mustang and while cleaning inside my car I found this part. Can anybody help me by telling me where this part is supposed to go?
- Know anything about model Ts? I'm editing my book placed in 1910, so the only motor vehicles they have would be model T fords and I was wondering how long it would take for someone to drive from northern Kansas down to the center of Texas.

- Should I even be thinking about buying a 2005 Ford F-150 with 261,000 miles? I have been in desperate need of a vehicle since my truck was stolen earlier last month and have come across, what seems to be a good deal. It is a 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat 4WD that drives great and doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it. But, it does have 261,000 miles on it. The dealer wants $8,980. What do you guys think? Again, I did test drive it and it seemed like a great feeling and sounding truck.
