The person selling the orange ford focus told me he can sell it to me at $2600.
I want to know which is the best choice.
I don't want to pay more than $3000 including all the dmv fees like the name change and anything else.
It is my first time buying a car so I want to know how much will the total be after I have purchased the car? How much does the dmv charge for pink slip, name change, and anything else that they charge for.
Also, the person selling the gray ford focus told me that the car leaks a little oil from top of the seal. What does that mean, is it really serious?
Can you also tell me what i have to do after i purchase a car? I only know a little about the pink slip and license plates. I know i have to do something with the dmv after the purchase but i have never done it so i need help with that.

What to do with a recently bought lemon car in nyc that the dealership can't fix?

After two weeks of purchasing a 2012 Ford Focus, I had to get it towed to the dealership to get it fixed. They couldn't find anything wrong with it. A day later, it stopped on me again but I was able to drive it to a Ford service garage this time. They found electrical problems with the car. Spent three hours at the dealership because I would have to pay out of pocket if Ford fixed it as the manufacturer's warranty has ended but the dealership said to come back because they needed an entire day to fix it.

I left the car with them and said that it should be fixed the next day… That was a week ago. I've been calling them several times a day and the same thing keeps happening. They need to talk to the mechanic or the service person who was helping me and that they would call me back. No one has called me back Right now I want a refund but I'm not sure about how to go about it. Based on NY used car lemon law, I feel like I'm entitled to a full refund but I'm not sure if I should wait 15 days of not having the car first before initiating the process.

Car loan: Do I need a down payment?

So I have had my current vehicle, a 2011 toyota corolla LE, for about a year and am considering trading it in. I owe about $10,300 on it still and I estimate the car is worth anywhere from $9,000 to a little over $10,000. I'm guessing if I traded in this car and were to purchase the new 2014 ford focus I want to get, they would add about $1,000 to $1,500 on top of the new loan. My question is, do I need a down payment? I know its always better to have one but I really don't have the money saved currently. By the way, my credit score is 691. Hope there's enough info here, thank you!

Is a 2000 Ford Focus a good car?

I'm thinking of buying one for my niece. She needs an economy car to drive to and from college next August. About a 90 mile round trip twice a week. The car has only 75000 miles and runs and drives very nice. Asking 3 for it so it seems like a good deal. Its a little rough on the outside but nothing serious. Most everything else for sale in my area has close to 200000 miles and are usually priced well over book value. The CarFax on it checked out perfect and its a one owner car.
