My daughter got a 2006 ford focus?

I was wondering if my daughters car is reliable, it is my old car and my daughter and I are thinking of getting her a new one. Any suggestions on a new car around 7000 we prefer a ford or Toyota or Honda.

Focuses are good cars. However, any car can have its own issues. For the most part, I would expect it to get her from point a to point b safely for years to come.

You're not going to get anything brand new for 7k, and to answer the first part of your Q, I would say generally yes,

though as with most cars once their past warranty whether it's "a good car" or not completely depends on the individual car and how well it was taken care of.

So I hope your daughter did her homework

The 2006 Focus Is farely Reliable Depending On How Well It Was maintained. If you are willing, then upgrade to a new Ford Fiesta. Brand new costs about $13,000 and it is an amazing, reliable, perfect car for your daughter. Otherwise you will have to get another used car, probably a reliable Toyota or Honda, if 7k is your budget, then you will have to buy one with high mileage thus probably increasing the chance of the car breaking down. Best thing is to go to your nearest ford dealer, trade in the focus and get a new fiesta.
