If I change the turbo for focus st and swap a bigger one, do I need any other modification?
Basacly If i change my turbo in my ford focus st 2013 and put a bigger one from aftermarket, will I need to do amy other modification or just the turbo will be fine? If so will my engine heat up more or get damage or turbo or Ill be fine?
Depends how big the new turbo is. You may need a bigger intercooler if you have one. Fuel injectors might have to be changed. Exhaust or intake manifolds might be a restriction. New clutch. Depends how crazy you went.
Bigger turbo will be of no advantage and just waste money. Fix the one you have and get the car dyno tuned to get more power
Sure?
Probably:
Intake/exhaust modification.
Fuel injection modification.
Then will need to get a custom tuner/programmer and have it dyno tuned.
Then if you get into bigger power numbers:
Transmission.
Clutch.
Forged internals.
Etc.
Too much boost can blow up the engine.
You may need to alter the chip in the EMS
- If my power steering pump and pulley break, is there any other parts I may have to potentially replace? Last night when I was driving, my power steering pump busted and also broke my power steering pulley. I have a 2002 ford Taurus. In the process of the pulley breaking off, the serpentine belt came off. It is still on the car so I just have to re position it once the new pulley is on. My question is through this incident, could anything else have broken? I just did a bypass pulley for the AC compressor last week. And I also replaced the serpentine belt last week.
- Should AG Sessions extend US Marshal protection to Dr. Ford and any other women being threatened for testifying about Judge Kavanaugh? Kavanaugh is receiving protection from the US Marshals. Dr. Ford has to pay for her own protection. This is despicable.
- Ford 302 cam modification So i have a completely stock 302 out of a 1973 mustang that i'm swapping into another 1973 mustang. Other than a after market exhaust and a weinand intake with holley 600 or 650 (i don't know which, could find the code on google). I'm looking for a cam to use when i tear the engine down and rebuild. I'm gonna swap the heads to gt40 heads so what is gonna work with gt40 heads
- For drag racing, can I go with a smaller rim on the back with a bigger tire and keep my 19 on the front? 2008 Ford Mustang Right now i'm sitting at 245/45r19 fronts and rears 275/40r19 The reason for asking is because i can't find a drag radial or Slick that fits my rim?
