Ford Focus 2001 Zetec Engine query?
I have a 2001 1.4 automatic ford focus (UK) It has been struggling with accelerating and i have been told its a pipe that has a hole in it. Its apparently a common fault on Fords and its where they "suck in and eventually just collapse on themselves" If i was going to order this part, what is it called? Is it a breather hose? If you are looking at the engine you can see it just underneath at the front.
Might be better for you to pop to the Ford dealers Parts department and make sure that you identify with them the correct part. If you ask nicely they may just have a look under the bonnet with you or pick it up with your help on the exploded diagram on theire parts system computer.
Anyone answering you on here about this could be guessing or be inaccurate
- My Ford focus Zetec Ebony 2003 1.6 16v won't start? The fuel sender is working fine. No signs of a blown head gasket. Had Gunky petrol (Gasoline) go into the engine. The car still turns over but will only start using easy start spray. The car has now been sat in storage for almost a year. What's the verdict?
- Have a problem with my coolant fan on a 2002 Ford Focus 16v zetec? Recently bought this car, only has 119k miles on it. I noticed the temperature was going 3/4 of the gauge when I was going through a drive through one day. I always thought the coolant fan would come on if you turned on the cars AC, but mine does not come on at all. What should I be checking first? I checked the coolant fan fuse and it is fine. Any advice would be appreciated!

I have a ford focus zetec 2001, it's just had MOT done and they had to replace the crank shaft, I was told that because it had been replaced it would probably only last a week but could last longer, I just wondered if anyone else had had this problem as I'm scared to use the car now, Tia Sorry crank shaft sensor
- Ford focus 1.4 zetec engine hesitates? When driving in a straight line the car drives fine, but when it comes to slowing down to make a left or right turn the car tends to hesitate or judder, as if the fuel pump is loosing pressure or the gas tank is running low. Have replaced the filter and given the car a service. But still same problem.
