Do CD-RW's work in 1999-2004 ford focus radios?

I want to give a gift to my friend for her birthday, and I made a cd of all the songs she really likes. I only have CD-RW's, and after reading a little bit I found out that those don't work in some players. I was just wondering should I make the cds on a CD-R type of CD or can I stick with the ones that I have?

CD-RWs hardly ever work in autos, and they're not particularly reliable at one's desk. What's more, they're overpriced. You can get a 50-count spindle of brand-name CD-Rs from Amazon for under ten bucks.

Burned CDs is not cool anymore. Don't give unless asked.

The type of cd you are using for playback doesn't matter. Those little codes only matter when and if you choose to re-write (RW) the cd with different music later.

On another topic… Way to keep it real by throwing it back a decade and forgetting about smartphones…
