Can't decide between two used cars?
I'm torn between two used cars: A 2006 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5L PZEV, and a 2007 Ford Focus ZX4 SE. Both of them have a manual transmission, around the same mileage…
Which one should I choose, without considering the price as a factor?
Thanks!
Added (1). Can't decide between two used cars…
The one that has been fully and properly serviced and maintained. Ask the seller of each to show you proof of all service and maintenance receipts.
As a person who works on cars for a living, as long as you get around the cheaper plastic pieces falling apart sometimes, the ford will be a great choice, the Volkswagen won't break as easy, but if/when it does, it's a bit bigger chuck of your wallet you'll be putting in your mouth, the ford will take quite a lot time to break as long as you know how how not to mess up a clutch, and you know how to drive.
If condition is equal, get the Focus. The VW should be breaking down at this point while 05-10 were good model years for the Foaus.
Test drive them both and choose which one you like better.
- Purchasing a vehicle, but can't decide? I'll be paying off my current car soon, and will be giving it to my fiancée (she has no vehicle) I can't decide on a 2008-2011 Ford ranger which will be around 10k with 40-100k miles Or a 2014 f150 tremor (25k-29k) for 20k-68k miles on them Which would you choose? Please pretend it was with your money and take It into calculatation, but also which one you'll want (it'll really help me)
- Varying ride quality between different makes of cars? I own and drive a 2001 Ford Mustang GT. I frequently however get to drive a 2013 buick lacrosse. I also test drive many other different cars. What I've noticed is this. Fords seem to have a stiffer and bulky drive quality but not in a bad way it has its benefits. GM tends to have a loose smooth and easy feel to them not up tight like the ford. Chrysler has a ride quality thats a mix of the two others. What my question is is why are they so different between manufacturers?
- How do car manufactures decide what car gets what options? So today this random question has been on my mind. 3 of my friends and myself all have 2014 Ford Focus' and all are the SE model. Mine has a few extra features though. Sunroof, leather heated seats and spoiler. How do the manufactures pick which car has a different option then the next?
- Negative consequences of owning two cars simultaneously? (UK)? I'm wondering with a large amount of disposable income, what the the disadvantages of owning two cars at the same time. The two cars I was looking at was a Ford Fiesta ST and a BMW 330D. They are both second hand vehicles with 40-60k miles on them (as I really dislike depreciation on vehicles when bought new). I understand you'll have to insure two vehicles and pay tax etc. Both cars would cost roughly £25,000 combined to buy.
