2015 Ford Focus radio wiring diagram?

I need help with finding a 2015 Ford Focus radio wiring diagram. I'm trying to install an aftermarket subwoofer, but I can't find anything online. Which wire corresponds to the remote wire? Any help is appreciated.

Radio wiring has become fairly universal. Though I can't say for sure which colors correspond to which speakers, I'm somewhat confident (as confident as a color blind person can be) that you're looking for a blue (or purple) wire that has no matching pair. It's called the power antenna wire and its purpose is to turn on the antenna and extend it. I haven't seen a car with a power antenna in quite a while, but I suppose they're still out there.

You can use that wire for your amp power signal. It can't power an amp but can be used as the control wire to turn the amp on and off.

If you look at the speaker wires you'll see a pair of white wires (one of them will have a black strip). I THINK that's the front right speaker (but don't take me to task if I'm wrong). There's a grey pair (also one with a black stripe), a green pair and either a purple (or blue) set of wires. In each pair one of them has a black stripe and denotes the negative signal line. Red is usually "ACC" (or key switch) power, a yellow wire (should be main power(and memory. A black wire (obviously for ground) and possibly an orange wire, typical of "Lights" or "Dash Lights". Some radios will dim their light output when the orange wire is powered. It's powered from a signal from the dash lights, so that when at night you turn your lights on your radio is not blindingly bright.

Just installed a radio in my Toyota. All the wires mentioned were for power, ground, control and memory as well as the speakers and an audio power control wire (that blue (or purple) wire). My Toyota factory original radio had two other connectors, for Sirus or Pandora radio and some other controls. Of interest to me were the steering wheel controls (volume, scan and power). My installation kit didn't come with a connector for that. So rather than cut up my factory harness I built a connector and installed it so that I still have control over the stereo without having to take my hands off the wheel.

Your FF probably has something similar. If you really need a wiring diagram then visit your nearest Ford dealership. Go to the service desk and ask for some print outs of the wiring for your car. They'll be happy to give it to you. Toyota's help was invaluable for figuring out which wires came from the steering wheel.

Hope this helps.

  • I need the wiring color codes for the radio on my 2007 Ford e-150 cargo van? I'm installing a new car stereo in my work truck. It's a 2007 Ford e-150 cargo van (4.6 liter v8, if that helps). I have it connected for the most part (it turns on and plays properly) but every time I turn off the car the entire radio resets so I can't save any presets or audio settings. So I need the color codes for the factory harness. And yes I cut the factory harness and I'm just connecting those wires directly to the harness for the new stereo.
