Which car is the best first car?

I'm a 16 year old male and I will hopefully be getting my license soon. I'm having a hard time choosing a car. I want to know which car is the best car.

Out of those listed I would think the 2012 Ford Focus Titanium would be the best car for a new driver.

None of the above. Ford is really just a brand that has it "Ford guys" that buy fords because they always buy fords and that's that. The other people buy into their stupid add campaign that they have been doing which is essentially "we used to suck, but now we're as good as Honda and Toyota"… Yet they have been using this same idea since the early 2000's. So really the cars that they said used to be as good as Toyota and Honda, now suck and are a thing of the past unlike the new version… And in 10 years they will do the same thing… So those buyers will more than likely trade up in 2 years. Anyway, that's why I don't like Ford. I would recommend Toyota, Mazda, and Subaru. I have had amazing experiences with these brands. (excluding the Mazdas the were Ford copy cats) I have had an above average experience with Honda, but I really don't think they are as good as the brands mentioned prior. Stay away from Ford, they look good when you first buy them and deteriorate quickly.

2012 Ford Focus Titanium

Your first car should really be something you can afford to crash. As a new driver, you WILL crash, and as your insurance will be high, unless you total the vehicle, it will be cheaper for you to fix it.

Screw Ford. Get a used Japanese car. Get a Mitsubishi Lancer. Great car. Reliable, great MPGs, sporty depending on the trim or type of Lancer.

Mazda 3. Reliable, and great handling. They are also safe. I just got my kid a 2010 and it's a very nice car. And fun.

For a 16 year old male driver and only picking from this list I would choose the Ford Focus or Ford Fusion. The others get poor fuel mileage. Definitely do not get the 1999 Explorer, or Lincoln Navigator, as they have all kinds of problems are not very reliable. I did stick to the list but do consider a Honda Accord, Mazda6, and Honda Civic. Very reliable, nice cars, that get good mileage.
