I accidentally put regular gas in my flex fuel ford focus?
I can usually go a week without having to fill up but after using the regular gas i can only go a day or two on a full tank before i have to fill up.
I thought if i let my tank go to empty (even the refuel light came on) that would help, but it hasn't. What should i do to get my gas mileage back to what is was before?
I don't know, but one thing you don't want to do is run the tank down empty as it may draw sediments into the fuel system, fill up when 1/4 full.
Flex fuel means it will burn anything. You could buy a bottle of octane booster at the parts store. Otherwise, just add premium as you burn what you have in the tank.
Regular gas should cause no more than a 10% to 15% drop in mileage. If your mileage dropped by half there's something else wrong and you need to have it looked at if more than 2 tanks of premium does not take it back to normal.
- Is the 1995 Chevy s10's regular cab bigger than the 1996 Ford Ranger's regular cab? I always heard that Chevy trucks have more cab room than old Ford trucks. I'm just thinking if a Chevy s10's regular cab is bigger then the Ford Ranger's regular cab. What's bigger and gives you more space? What smaller and hardly gives you any space?
- Must I put premium gas in my 1965 Ford F100 390 V8 or can i put regular gas? I was told that it needs premium gas and premium gas only. But the guy who I bought the truck from said it was a myth and it takes regular gas. What gas does my Ford F100 390 v8 engine take?!
- Isn't it hard to force the EU to buy our cars? Ford announced they'll stop making regular cars, and they don't want our gas guzzling SUVs? Or huge trucks. That's what part of this trade war is about fyi, our products that they don't even want. Interesting, but 10% vs 2.5% isn't exactly earth shattering on cars. Plus that article's talking about OBAMA'S proposed free trade not Trumps.
