Ford offered two different engines and the choice of front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) on the 2013 Flex. Obviously, if there's a drive shaft to the rear wheels it must be AWD.
READ the owners manual that came the Flex! That's where you'll find the appropriate towing information. If you've lost it you can find a copy online, probably at the Ford website.
You'll only tow it one time then you will know what a big mistake you made.
