What's could be the problem with my Ford Fiesta
Hi, I have a 2002 fiesta mk6 1.4. Aztec
Recently I got in my car to go for a drive and the engine was very shuddery and I had very little power, after driving a mile or so I tried to round a corner and the car died. I drove the car home with very little power and the engine felt as though it would die any minute. Sent car to local garage and was found that there was water in the spark plug wells. He replaced the spark plugs, also tasted the water and said there was no antifreeze present. Got the car back tonight and though it is much better and not shuddery. There's very little power in the car. Even in 4th with straight strech of road and foot to the floor I'm struggling to hit 60mph. The car just feels though it has no performance at all and builds speed extremely slowly. Also worth noting after driving from garage to home there was a sort of burning rubber smell from the engine.
Any ideas, Help.
The smell is your clutch. It's probably on the way out or you can't drive that well mate, stop riding it xD.
Jokes aside probably your clutch, airflow could also be causing it but you would hear it
A real mechanic would have gone on a test drive after working on the car and noticed the lack of power! I'd find a different place to take the car. Don't go to a tire store, Midas, Walmart, or Pep Boy's. Find a real mechanic at a private garage or go to the dealer!
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- 2006 Ford Ranger, lack of power and rough idling, what could be the problem? I have a 2006 Ford Ranger manual 4 x 4 sport, with 160,000 km (100,000 miles) that I bought back in August. It ran well until today. On my way to work, I drove a few blocks when I noticed when I accelerated there was little power, and it was idling rough. I drove it back home and noticed there was this black soot coming out of the exhaust. I can't have it seen until the 2nd, so I'm just looking for any insight on what the problem can be.
- What could be the problem if the coolant drains fast and once it drains out the heater doesn't get hot? There's also a smell to it, and the coolant only last for about 2 days… What culd the problem be for a 2010 ford mustang
- My 2008 2 door ford focus has started to sputter and shake.what could the problem be? At first it started shaking then a couple days later, it started to sputter. I want to take it in but scared they will charge me a fortune on other things that aren't really the problem. Any advice?
