What feature is on cars that prevent breaks in while driving, or from road ragers?

I have the 2014 Ford Fiesta.
And I'm concerned that a road rager may try to attack me while in the car, as I've had close encounters.
There are a lot of angry drivers where I'm living. And I just want to know what feature, protect you from these people, by locking have all the doors locked from the outside.

Is this what power lock does?

The car has central locking, once it is locked inside it can't be opened from the outside. Other than smashing a window they can't get in. I would learn defensive driving as well as nowhere (apart from Johannesburg) is a bad area for road-rage without someone doing something to start it.

Maybe don't drive like an idiot to incite road rage in others? There's nothing to protect you from somebody with a gun.

Unless you or the dealer has intentionally disabled the feature, the doors in your Fiesta should lock automatically once the car goes over about 10mph and stay locked from the outside until you either press the unlock button inside the car, open a door from inside the car - most Fords allow you to open locked doors (at least the fronts) from the inside without pressing an unlock button, or possibly when you shut off the vehicle and remove the key. They're still locked from the outside at all other times if you've traveled over about 10mph once you start driving it assuming the feature is enabled. You should be able to actually hear the doors locking automatically the first time you get over 10-15mph if the feature is active.

Seeing daily displays of road rage directed specifically at you isn't normal. Either your driving is causing some (or all) of it or you live in an area full of crazy people. You can't control other people being crazy but you can control how you behave behind the wheel. I'd suggest taking an honest look at how much of this you're causing (if any of it) or at least consider that what you perceive as "road rage" directed at you might actually be you taking dumb things people do while driving way too personally.

And Scott H is right, door locks won't protect you from crazy people with a gun. It's always best to never get into road rage situations in the first place if you can at all avoid them.

You know if you run into a lot of angry people on the road it's likely you are the one getting them mad! Learn how to drive.
