Mazda cx5 ( suv crossover ) or normal car ( like a hatchback?

I'm turning 18 next year and my parents are gonna buy me a car. Now I wanted a hatchback for a while. Thinking along the lines of a hyundai i20, ford fiesta etc. But I came to look at suv crossovers and decided on the 2014 mazda cx5. And while it sounds childish, the opinions of my friends do matter somewhat, with them saying I shouldnt get a big car right now ( even though it isn't that big). What should I choose?

  • Is it normal that I like older men? I'm a 17 year old girl and I tend to like older men. I like them around the ages 20-70. I find Harrison Ford, Bryan Cranston, Ethan Hawke, Johnny Knoxville, Tom Hiddleston, etc. To be really attractive. I just find guys my age to be really immature, and I find the maturity of older men attractive. That turns me on. The only youngest guys that I find attractive are the guys from One Direction. I don't even like a guy the same age as me right now.
  • Is a joint venture car, like Geos, Vibes, Saturns/Honda, Ford/Mazda or Chrysler/Mitsubishi products rice burner or not? Geos and Vibes were GM/Japanese joint ventures and I read some Chryslers had Mitsubishi parts. Some Saturns had Honda engines. I think Mazda built some cars for Ford or some such, so in my family we called Mazda Japanese Fords, once. However, the cars carried Geo (later Chevy), Pontiac, Saturn, Chrysler (or one of its divisions) or Ford (not sure if Mazda made any cars for their Lincoln-Mercury division) badging.
  • Would a Mazda 3 hatchback or Ford focus hatchback be more reliable? I'm looking into good first cars and i want to know which one of these brands and models is more reliable and better in mpg, performance, ect… Thanks
  • What are some cars like a ford focus or Mazda 3 or 6? I like the ford focus but a lot of people have it in my town and I want something different I love the shape of the focus seaden! What are some cars like it?
