Ford fiesta or fiat panda?

I'm looking to buy my first car with the budget of £15000 which i have from savings over the years. I'm a 17 year old male from london and i'm using my parents car which is a 2009 vw polo but its so unreliable and i need a car that reliable so i can take me and my friends to school. I really like the fiat panda, even though everyone says it looks horrible, but i think it looks cute and me and my mum have already test driven it and i like it alot (i would buy it new). My second option is a second hand ford fiesta which i don't like as much but my mum says that people will laugh at me in the panda, i'm straight btw. I have seen a fiesta and they look really nice and is better built than a panda but me and the fiat panda have a special connection. My mum has told me that i might regret getting a panda in a few years time since this is the only car i'm getting until i can afford one myself and pandas lose their value very quickly unlike the fiesta. I don't know WHAT TO DO, SHOULD I FOLLOW MY BRAIN (FIESTA) OR MY HEART (PANDA)

Neither

Ford fiesta

Toyota Aygo.

Panda…

Don't blow all your savings on a car.
Get some insurance quotes first, and make sure you have enough money left to cover the insurance for a few years, and cover any excess in case you have to make a claim.
All Panda versions are in low insurance groups, so insurance will be relatively low, but the Fiesta has such a wide range of versions that you have to be careful when choosing that you are aware of the insurance group and cost of that specific version.
If you have £15k, don't spend more than £7.5k on the car itself.

Any new car will lose its value faster than a used car.

The previous Panda had a good reliability record, but these are now getting old so that record is irrelevant. However production of the latest generation moved back to Italy from Poland, and the reliability doesn't appear to be quite as good. Fiesta has a pretty good record.
