Ford Fiesta MK6 engine gunk?
So. I've had the car for around about a year and I've been having issues where it's won't always start first time, but always second - so I've just got use to it and driven it how it is. It's not a battery issue because I've had a new batt. So I'm thinking there's a fuel issue going on. I also checked my oil the other day to see if it was low and there was a smell of petrol and gunk on the cap. No bits in the water, no gunk on the stick and no loss of water. So I'm wondering if the fuel injectors maybe seeping? Or the fuel regulater is faulty?
Another issues is that it has high revs when I first start it, after driving for a while the rev go back to normal.
Any ideas?
Hi so when was teh last time it had a proper service. Then we also ask just how long is this car supposed to last. Original design was that it should last 7 years or 100k miles beyond which it is just luck.
There are so many possibilities - best idea would be to get it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing and clearly you have no idea.
Was serviced fully 2 years ago.
The car is 2007 and 63,000 miles.
I'm guessing a services could be a possibility?

- How to remove duratec engine cover for 2002 ford fiesta 1.3 8v? I have a 2002 ford fiesta 1.3 mk6. I need to take the engine cover off so I can access the spark plugs etc. I have removed the two bolts to access the air filter and removed the air filter. I have been pulling at the engine cover butit won't budge. Am I missing something?
