Ford fiesta 54 plate won't pull and is really slow with high revs?
My ford is slow and it won't pull when I stop at the lights I go and all I have is high revs over 5000 rpm and no speed at all then when it catches speed the it's fine intill stopping again
Can be a number of issues or even combined faults. Blocked filters. Sensor failed etc.
have it checked by a garage and scanned for fault codes.
With high revs it could be that your clutch is slipping.
Sounds like the clutch is slipping, assuming it is a manual (or "durashift" automated manual) transmission.
If it has a more conventional torque-converter automatic transmission, then the transmission or torque converter is failing.
(Some "automatic" Fiestas have proper torque-converter automatic transmissions, and some have automated manual transmissions with an electro-hydraulic actuator system for the clutch and gearshift).
- Do some people really care that much about driving a really nice car? My dad is perfectly okay with his 1992 Ford Taurus with 210,000 miles on it, no heat (he lives in Chicago btw), no A/C, and a f::::ked up passenger side door. He's not poor by any means, he's a CFO of a bank. He just says that driving that P. Builds character and he only cares about having a car that can take him from point A to point B.
- 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough? 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough until completely warm, we replaced 4 coils and at first it helped but has returned just as bad.
- I have 1998 Ford Windstar as of now when I put in drive/reverse it won't move. It just revs. The car starts up fine? It started while I was driving down the road and I pressed the gas to go a little faster and my rpm went up to 4 and went down. I have an automatic too. There's no burnt smell in my transmission fluid stick/tank. I just left the gas station before this happened if that helps. Any ideas? Someone suggest my second/reverse band and I have never heard of it.
- High Revs on highway normal? I have a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with the DOHC Zetec engine. I was just wondering if having the motor run at about 3000 RPMs going 70 mph is normal and if this is hurting the engine? It just seems really high, especially when it down shifts and goes to about 4700 RPM when I go up some hils. Also, where is the red line on this engine? The cluster doesn't indicate where it is.
