Engine Cable broke on ford fiesta 2011?

My car had a hard time turning on this morning, I figured it was because it was cold last night and the lines maybe froze or something. Which probably did. I finally got it to turn on by revving it up a bit. As I inspected my car a bit I realized that a black cable connected to the air filter was broken off. For all I know I've been driving like that for a while and never noticed. Is that something I should get fixed as soon as possible?

Apparently you don't know the difference between a wire, a cable and a hose. Very few air filters utilize a control cable for anything. While it could be a wire, it might be a vacuum hose. It's probably not critical that you fix it immediately, but obviously it should be repaired. It wouldn't be there if it wasn't necessary, and it might be related to your cold start issue.

You sure that's not a vacuum hose?

Get it fixed today.

Lines maybe frozen - there's nothing known as a line in the car that can freeze.
Black cable connected to the air filter - the air filter neither has nor needs an electrical supply so what this supposed cable is heaven knows.
Your question sir/madam is gobbledegook.

I would.

"I finally got it to turn on by revving it up a bit."

What?
This makes no sense.

You have a very trollish sounding question.

If something surely is broken, then you need to repair it!
