Can I use a 14 175/65R as a spare wheel for ford fiesta 09?
I have been advised that I would be able to use a 14" wheel with a tyer size 175/65R as a spare wheel for my ford fiesta 09 which wheels are 15" 4 stud 195/50R? As if I had this size wheel in my boot it doesn't fit flush?
U cam use it as a spare. But not for dauly driving. If your original wheel popped and all you have is a smaller spare, use it until you can get to a place to get a new tire. But don't use it for more than a couple days. You can do little, but noticeable demage to your ride.( performance, not the way it looks)
Er no you are missing 1 inch so would have to drive on 3 wheels if you ever fitted that one. NOT safe, NOT legal and absolutley POINTLESS.
Just get a small air compressor and can of puncture spray (which is what all NEW cars come with these days) As proven when a pucture occures it is either so close to home or a domesticated area that a recovery service is called, OR you get 2 instead of just 1 puncture and a single spare is then also useless.
What you have is a SPACE SAVER reserve. Another POINTLESS design by manufacturers. I took mine out on day 1 and now use the space for breakdown tools like those I mentioned and a tow rope, starter cables and tool kit.
Why not just get the correct size wheel from your nearest breakers yard for a few quid, you could probably get one with a usable tyre on it for 20 quid or less.
If the 195/50R/15 are the standard wheels then no. If they will not fit you must have a Space Saver type Spare as standard
175/65R/14 are different width and diameter, The SS one is designed to be the same overall diameter

A 15" won't fit correct or flush in the boot as the carpet in won't lay flat. And iv tried lots of breakers with no look.
- Can I make my admin key the spare key? I have a 2015 Ford Mustang and I have two keys one is the admin and the another is a spare the admin key is all broken and it falls apart all the time is there a way to switch the admin privileages to the spare and make the spare key the admin key
- Can i still use steering wheel controls with an aftermarket radio? I was thinking about buying an aftermarket radio for my 06 ford fusion because i want Bluetooth, USB and aux. I do love using the audio controls on the steering wheel, and i was going to go best buy to see what they can do, but i was just wondering if you can still use them, or its possible to do so, with an aftermarket stereo?
- Where can I buy a spare tire replacement? Last week I blew a tire on my car and used the space saver spare that came with my 2014 Ford Focus. I drove about 50 to 70 miles on it until i replaced it 2 days ago and the tire place I went too put the spare back. Id rather replace it in case i blow another tire because I think I used all the life out of the spare.
- I have a 61 plate Ford Focus mk3 and I've noticed there's a hell of alot of water in the boot where the spare wheel is kept? The rear passenger side floor is also soaking wet so I don't know if these are connected or not. Hopefully someone's has experienced this before and can give me a clue to what it is.
