Average cost to replace side mirror done by Ford Dealership?
Hello everyone had a late night accident coming back from work and knocked off my driver side mirror if my 2014 ford fiesta. Brought it into the Ford dealership, just want to know if the price they quoted for parts and labor seems alright.
They charged 333.39 for the mirror itself and said it would be an additional 120 to actually part it on the car. Does that seem a little high? I understand doing it at a dealership costs more, but I needed my car fixed quickly.
About 300 for labor and 90 dollars for parts. Dealers are expensive.
Their cost is their cost and that sounds like a typical dealer price for something like that. If it is heated and adjustable, the cost on Amazon for just the mirror is $220. Not sure how much labor for the Fiesta, my daughters Jeep only took about 5 minutes to change the mirror. Not sure if you can DIY? I've bought mirrors for a few cars on Amazon and usually they work out well.
The $120 for labor is 1 hour, reasonable for a dealer but the $335. For the mirror is really high, the same mirror in the aftermarket is probably less than $100. Check Ebay if you care.
Dead Cheap. We paid $500 for a VW side mirror -- over 10 years ago.
That's their price. Unless you want to steal one, that's what you pay for OEM.
$120 for labor sounds about right… It's a fairly quick job if there's no body damage that needs to be repaired. I wouldn't pay that price for a NEW mirror. Check local auto salvage yards. You can probably find a used mirror from a wrecked car that will still work for a lot less… They may even install it for you!
You should have checked ebay for a mirror and changed it yourself. It ain't rocket surgery.
THE coast to replace a mirror is way too high it is fairly a simple job.
