Why is my Viper car alarm system saying I have a door open?
I have had this system for almost a year on my Ford F-150 Lariat. It has 4 doors and I've never had this issue until today. I went a closed all my doors to make sure none were ajar. But every time I lock then arm my truck there's no issues. Once I unarm my alarm and then unlock it then it says door is open. I don't know if this matters but I unarmed it from my phone app and that's when I noticed the issue. Anyone have any suggestions? Never had any issues before and nothing has changed with my truck since having it.
Just to let everyone know. It was a satellite issue and now works just fine. Thanks to the ones actually trying to offer help.
Because your not smart enough to own a car that you check your doors manually, you have more problems with more things on your car. If you want all the gadgets then you have to learn to take it in for those repairs. Good luck Guessing electrical problems over the internet probably won't fix it.
Door switch is broken
- Should my 2010 Ford Ranger cabin beep whenever I open the door? I feel like the cabin dinging is supposed to be a reminder that you have left the headlights on, the key in the ignition, or the in cabin lights on, but I have done none of these things. Yet the truck cabin beeps whenever the door is open. I fear the battery will drain, but if someone can co firm this is just a "door ajar" beeping I would be most grateful.
- Interior lights won't come on when the door is open on my 2003 Ford Windstar? I just bought a 2003 Ford Windstar, and the interior lights don't turn on when a door is opened. If we turn the switch all the way up, all the lights come on, but don't ever turn off. It's not associated with a door being open. Anyone aware of how to fix this?
- Had my ford transit broken into, door peeled in half, what would people recommend, van alarm or deadlocks and door strengthening? My van door was peeled in Half from top to bottom and cleared of everything inside. I'm thinking of getting an alarm that will go off if van is shaken or movement inside but I think this might be too late and the door damage done. Would I be better off getting visual locks for thief's to see then have my door reinforced inside out by my friend who's a welder.
- On my 2004 ford fusion my fob don't work the alarm sounds soon as I put the key into the door and turn it? If I pull the central locking fuse out the alarm stops so it's drivable but was wondering what could be doing it as I was thought to believe if I put the key into the ignition the alarm should stop but it don't any ideas would be most appreciated
