Which should I consider 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 or 1998 Ford f150?

I'm wanting to trade my car in for one of the 2 but which will give me less trouble to keep maintained

Ford because Chevy is so unreliable. May I recommend a Tacoma or Titan at least they'll start for you.

  • How long will a chevy silverado last? Trading in my ford ranger to many problems and issues. Anyways I'm looking at some used silverados they all have over 10000 miles on them. Are they built like toyota tundra and tacoma where they will last forever. In the 90s my mom owned a chevy caviler and a chevy mini van both had the transmission blow quickly and they leaked oil all over the place. Are the trucks like this are they good trucks
  • What kid of car should I consider? Chrysler 200 Dodge Dart Jeep Patriot Chevrolet Malibu Ford Focus Ford Fusion I'm a really big Chrysler fan so allot of my attention is drawn to those cars, but I also feel obligated to look into GM and Ford.
  • Should I get a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT or 2006 Chevy Silverado Z71? Which truck would be better… I need a tough truck to haul around kids (both are 4-door), a little off-road driving around the farm and fishing, pulling a 4k to 5k trailer. Which engine is better, Fords 5.4L or Chevys 5.3L? Is one transmission better than the other? Which will give me the least or most problems? All pros and cons appreciated, thank you!
  • Is a CHEVY Silverado a good pick up truck? How reliable and how maintenance free? Why many American insist on driving them? What about a DODGE RAM? Or a Ford F-150? how compared to a Toyota Tundra? actually I'm not noticing many Nissan Titans… But why? Nissan is not as good as Toyota?
