What will adding a class 3 hitch add to my towing capability for my 2014 F 150 V6?
I have a 2014 Ford F 150 with a v6 that has a max towing capacity of 5000 lbs with the current bumper tow package.
What does a class 3 tow hitch offer?
Nothing except a safer and more secure hitch point. That weight is the tow rating for the TRUCK. To get a higher rating you need to step up to a V8, better suspension and brakes.
