Should I buy a 1998 Ford F-150 XL for $2500?

It has 156,000 KM on it. GM Dealership wants $2500, looks to be in good shape. Its only two doors so only fits 3 people. Should I just keep my Grand AM that has 190,215KM on it?

If it's in reasonable shape, or if it's simply what you want, I see no reason why not.
Last October, I bought a '95 F-150XL for $2500(USD). That was "high book" price… But it was pretty much what I wanted.
January saw a set of new tires (5) at about $850.
Today was just under $1300 for a complete new suspension (parts only).
Why would I invest like this? Simple:
I do not have the capital to invest in a new truck that costs $30K+.
I do NOT like ABS, auto trans or push button 4x4.
I like simple. Manual trans, manual transfer case, get out and lock hubs, Rain gutters, hand crank windows, vent windows… And an ashtray.
These things rarely break, unlike all the electric gadgets and computers.
I can crack the window and still stay dry.

As of right now, she has 167007 miles. Keep your Grand AM, it burns half the gas.
