Is nebrock 0w 100 safe in a f150?

Was looking up oils to see what would be best for my truck to make it last the longest it's already 13 years old and 160k miles and has never had an issue since it was new it takes 3w30 oil but this nebrock oil only comes in 0w 100 but from what I've seen its by far the best but just not sure how it work in a 4.6 Ford motor

I assume you mean it take 5w30 oil. You are not supposed to go thicker on newer engines since they have tighter clearances. If oil it too thick, it will not lubricate some parts at all. Especially with 0w100, that stuff would be like molasses. It is only used in LARGE engines or racing engines.

Thicker oil was fine on much older cars. In fact, some of the older cars used break in oil with new engines that was thicker to get the parts mated right.

Now they are going thinner. I see a lot of engines (like mine) that require 5w20 or 0w20. Some engine parts over the last 15 years or so are laser cut to precision.

Hell no. 100 weight oil? That's about as thick as rear axle oil. Your engine would not survive the experience.

  • What does ford premium care 100 deductible mean? My car has an oil leak, and I bought it last July. I purchase the premium care package but next to it, it says standard deductible is $100, what does that mean? My husband is deployed and I'm not too care savvy. Please no rude comments. I just need help.
  • Is 100 000 miles on a car to much? I'm getting a audi, chevy or ford maybe honda. I was just wondering which one is best if you have 100 000 miles.
  • Is a 2006 Ford F150 with 230,000 miles safe to buy? There's a used 2006 Ford F150 XLT crew cab with a 5.4 V8 engine for sale with 230,000 miles. It costs $6,600 and was a gas company truck. Is it safe to buy? And if so is the price good for it?
  • Is it safe to put F150 tires on an expedition? We have a 2002 Ford Expedition which was in desperate need of new tires. My husbands uncle has a 2014 Ford F-150. He sold us his tires since he bought bigger rims. They are in great condition and had them installed at the tire shop. My concern is if it's even safe? The expedition tires look so much bigger than the expedition ones. My husband keeps telling me if it wasn't safe the mechanics wouldn't have installed them, I'm just curious if it's a good idea?
