Is a Ford F150 a good first car? - 1

I'm a 16 year old guy and I want to buy a car within the next year or so. I have driven an F150 before and I really liked it. I know they are good trucks. I want a 2000-03 F150 Lariat (supercrew). It will be 4X4 so it can handle deep snow better. Should I get one? I plan on keeping it for a long time. I prefer tucks over cars. Also, should I put a cap over the bed?

If it is something you really want, go for it. However, I recommend that you do some research beforehand to make sure you can afford to keep it for a long time. Find out the initial price to purchase (or if you have to go with a monthly payment), include taxes and license fees, and find out the cost for insurance. Then, try to come up with estimated maintenance and repair expenses for the future. Find out the cost of the cap and what the benefit would be to have one. Compare that to your income.

  • Is a 2008 Ford Taurus X a good first car? I'm a 16 year old guy and I want a 2008 Ford Taurus X Limited AWD as my first car. I need AWD for snow. How reliable are they? Will it last? Does it have transmission problems? Taurus X. Not the little car. The SUV. I want the MDX but, it takes premium fuel and that costs too much. Outback doesn't have a third row seat.
  • I'm in high school and about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car So far I have looked into ford mustangs, I have a choice between a 2007 ford mustang gt with a 8 cylinder motor with automatic transmission, or I can get a 2013 mustang v6. My question is which of the two cars is a faster and louder car cause I would like to show it off and have heads turn by its engine as I drive off on the street. Thank you very much about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car?
