I was driving my Ford F150 and when I got home I noticed a grey plastic piece on floor mat can someone tell me what it is and where it goes?
You can view an image if the plastic piece at http://s1174.photobucket.com/user/Justinamazing1888/library/?view=recent&page=1
No clue. Looks like a cover piece where a fastener sits. Put it in the console box and ask a mechanic when your truck is due for maintenance.
If the piece is larger than in the photo, best guess is that it fits around steering column… Only way to know is look under the dash
Seat-belt retainer cover.
- WHAT WRONG? No lecture$. LHF brakes metal to metal week+ Today pedal goes to floor No brake power until almost bottom out Fluid not low? 05 AWD Ford Freestyle. Besides grinding all around brakes were fine. Now noise is close to negligible. Replacing Front pads/rotors tomorrow. A must to bleed now? Air in system? Caliper?
- Was Ford such a drunk and loner that she couldn't say who was at the party or how she got home? Isn't the reason the FBI didn't find anything because this is first and only one of its kind in 6 investigations that scoured his history… The witness has no credibility?
- After driving Ford Ranger, high mileage, 10 miles and at normal operating temp, I park overnight on level concrete floor. I check oil level? Next day before starting and when I pull dipstick out, oil level is at full mark. I wipe the dipstick clean and re-insert and check oil level again, the oil level is down about 1/8th inch or so. I check it once more and get same reading. Is the crankcase full or do I need to add some oil? Just to be clear, since this is an older Ranger with over 170,000 miles, I use high mileage oil and I check the oil level regularly. It doesn't use oil after just 10 miles of driving.
- Let the master cylinder run dry and now the brake pedal goes to the floor when I turn the car on. Is air still in the system? I pulled the car out of storage and i noteced the left front caliper was leaking so I replaced the caliper. The only problem was the master cylinder ran dry. I bleed the brakes three times. I did not see any air in the lines after I bleed them a third time. When the car is off the brake pedal gets rock hard when the pedal ia depressed about half way. With the car on the brake pedal goes to the floor. Would this be cause by air in the system? The car is a 03 ford focus.
