2004 Ford f150 204k miles $995 to good to be true?
So there's an 04 f150 apparently still runs strong 204k miles. Is it too good to be true. The body isn;t in too good of a shape. Is there something to worry about in a car that has that many miles and is only 13 years old?
What is good about anything you wrote? What are you talking about?
Must be a lot of highway miles, which are easier on a truck then stop-&-go city driving miles…
That price seems fair. At that age with those miles, it will likely soon need a new engine, or transmission, or suspension parts, pumps, filters, electrical components, etc… If they gave it to you for free, it would still be an expensive truck to own and keep running.
You usually get what you pay for
- Too Good to be true? 1997 Ford Mustang Convertible? I'm interested in buying a 1997 6 Cylinder Ford Mustang Convertible for $1500. The car runs very cleanly and it has like approx. 136,000 miles on it. The only problem is that it has been sitting in the sellers backyard for like 5 years. Could it sitting for that length of time have caused any major malfunctions that should prevent me from buying it? The seller has also said that the car has a new transmission if that helps any.
- My 2004 Ford F150 was running fine on good Friday, and the next day Saturday evening my motor was tapping? My 2004 Ford F150 was running fine on last Friday, and Saturday evening my lifters was making an loud nocking sound, I took it to an mechanic and he told me its my lifters, or the cam phases, It seems impossible for that to happen in one day. I have 148,000 mile on the vehicle. Like I said it was running fine on good Friday. My mechanic suggest that I don't fix it and buy an new motor. Can anyone help me on the situation
- 2004-2008 Ford F150 vs 2004-2008 Dodge Ram 1500? I have been wanting to know which of these two trucks should I get? I watch videos on them but as I read the comments the controversy between the people are just left and right, "dodge is better, ford is better" but they never give an explanation why. So which truck is more reliable and why?
- I own a 2015 Ford Escape with 30,000 miles and runs good. My prior vehicle had over 150,000 miles and I used Gumout Regane high mileage fuel? System cleaner. I still have a bottle of the Gumout and wondering if I used it in the Escape, would the Gumout do any harm to it? I suppose I could wait until I get 75,000 miles on it before using but I'm a 3000-4000 miles a year driver and the Gumout would go bad before using it.
