2001 f150 What exactly are the intake spacer gaskets and isolator bolts?
I need to replace intake spacer gaskets and isolator bolts to get rid of the check engine light on my 2001 Ford f150. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what exactly I need to buy? A part number would help!
Probaly a lean code? The bolts run down through the top of the intake and the seals start to contract and get old. There was a TSB released to check these seals for leaking when cold. Basically the engine sucks a bit of unmetered air into the manifold that is not being measured by the maf sensor. They are a breeze to do!
- Replaced cylinder heads and head gaskets, but car is still overheating? 97 Ford Taurus, replaced the cylinder head and head gaskets. Car started fine and we let it run for a while before taking it out for a test drive. After about ten minutes the car started to overheat again, coolant came out and steam came from under hood. We also replaced the thermostat. What other possibilities are there?
- Just had new heads and gaskets installed on Ford Ranger 4.0, along with thermostat and radiator cap. After reaching operating temp, upper? Radiator hose swells to full capacity as if it can't handle more pressure. After engine cools off, hose returns to normal size. Should this be happening?
- What is the torque value for bolts on driver and passenger seats? 2007 ford mustang gt 4.6L Automatic Where can i get a manual with this info? Chilton Does NOT have it.
- How to undo bolts on Ford Galaxy 2003 Front & Rear brake caliper to renew disc's and pads? I need to renew the disc's and pads at the front and rear of Ford Galaxy 2003. I have the correct sockets and a large extension bar, but they will not budge (front or rear). I have tried WD40, thinking of trying a little heat, but its a bit near to the brake hoses. All suggestions gratefully received. I have a full workshop manual on this car issued by Ford which just says that they are tightened to 190Nm. The front bolts are huge 27mm and the rear bolts are 18mm.
