1996 ford f150 check engine light is on.Why is data link fuse blowing?
I have a 1996 ford f150. My check engine light came on last night after getting gas. I tried hooking up my scanner to see what codes came up and no power to the link! Took it to a gas station to try and not a thing he said i have a blown fuse. I found the blown fuse and a new fuse blown too! How do i fix this?
After you fix the issue, disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 15-20 min. This will reset your trucks computer thus reseting the service engine soon light. If it comes back, you have other issues
Find the short and repair it. How hard can it be it is only about a foot of wire you have to look at.
- Why does my fuse keep blowing after I start to drive my truck? I drive a 76 ford f100 and every time my truck is parked and I put a new fuse it all the blinkers work well but as soon as I drive my fuse blows could it be that I have very bad wiring of that i have an open circuit?
- Which fuse is the correct fuse for the radio in a fuse box? Read details? A 2002 wind star ford van has a radio that doesn't work. Which fuse would need to be replaced in the fuse box?
- Why is my check engine light on? So i have a 2002 v6 Ford Mustang and changed it from automatic to manual. After a day or so the check engine light came on? Can anyone help me understand why it did? Did the change throw off the car sensors?
- Have a 2009 Ford Mustang, kept blowing fuse #47, recently had clutch changed out prior to this? Found out a wire harness to 02 sensor was pinched between transmission and engine (easy to overlook harness should run above transmission). After removing harness and fixing. Had to run a push button for starter though. Anyone have this issue and get it solved (starter wise)?
