Why is this confusing?
I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and I'm trying to buy spark plug wires. I checked the driver side door sticker and says "Date: 5/00" and the spark plugs have 2 options; Built to 7/23/2000 and the other says built from 7/24/2000. I also checked the hood and nothing shows. Can I put either one of those 2 or will it perform weird? If I have to go to the dealer. I hope they don't charge hundreds just for a vin checkup to see when it was manufactured.
Not confusing at all. 5/00 means May 2000. The vehicle was built before 7/23/2000 (July 23, 2000). That option for the plugs (and wires) is what you buy.

I'm not certain why the two different dates are significant. But RockAuto has the Motorcrafts for 7/24/00.
So I would just call them or chat if it's online at this hour (don't know).

You already know the vehicle was made in May of 2000. Just go to Advance Auto and buy a set of wires. If you haven't put spark plugs in or bought a different brand then the Motorcraft Iridium spark plugs that should be in the motor get them too while there.
- Why In order to get my car to reverse I have to put it on Neutral? I have a 2004 Ford Focus SE The problem i recently started having was my car won't reverse unless i put it on Neutral and when i put it on drive it won't go forward unless Its on the number 2. I was told it was my transmission but i got it rebuilt almost 2 years ago. Is there anybody who can help me figure out what's wrong with it?

- Why is my 2003 ford f150 make a.squeaking noise when i turn on the ac? I have a 2003 ford f150 v6 4.2 and when I start it up the serpentine belt squeals, only for about 2 seconds then it stops. The only other time it makes that noise is when I turn on the a/c. I was told it could be the tensioner, but I don't want to just buy the part without getting other opinions.
