What are the towing capabilities for a 1997 Ford Explorer, rear wheal drive, with a 6L, V8 Engine?
That info is in the owners manual
Its the weight of the explorer and whatever you tow combined. Google the info
So, what's the deal here Skippy? Is it that you are too lazy or too stupid to do your own searches on the Internet to find the information you are asking for… Why should I waste MY time and effort to search for something that YOU can easily find for yourself with just a simple Google search?
Hi this should be displayed on the truck somewhere or in the handbook.
- Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
- 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 won't shift into drive after being driven. Takes longer than should to shift into drive when first started? It will go in reverse fine. First thing in the morning when I leave for work, it will shift into drive on it's own, but takes a bit longer than it should. After getting it warm, won't shift into drive at all. I can shift down to 1st or 2nd, then back into drive and it will "pop up" into drive within a second or 2. I also have a ODB2 error P1744 (Torque Converter circuit).
- 1997 ford tbird and 1997 ford mustang parts? Can I use parts from a 97 4.6 mustang on my 97 4.6 third and can I use any suspension parts from a mustang
- Can i Use a Ford 3.8 Engine to replace an existing Ford 4.2 Engine in an 1997 F150? I have a 1997 Ford F-150 with a 4.2 V6 Engine in it. The Bottom Part of the Engine has Failed. This is a Rare and Expensive Salvage Engine to buy ($850), I want to know if i can use a $400 3.8L V6 Engine, Bottom end Block Pistons ETC. And mount the existing 4.2 Heads to it.
