Lifting a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT
My explorer is low and I want to lift it for off roading. What lift kits would fit my vehicle I'm having a hard time finding one.
The 2002 and new Explorers have IRS and therefore are very few (if any) lift kits around for it. The reason being that there's not much demand for it, and it would expensive to implement vs.Something with live axles front and rear like a super duty or Wrangler.
You can rig up a body lift with hockey pucks.
Yea, yours has the NEW for 2002 independent rear suspension, for a smooth ride, but not much you can do to lift it…
- Lifting a 1998 V6 Ford F150? So I'm just getting into the truck thing, and in looking to buy a 1998 Ford F-150. My question is: If I want to put an 8 inch lift on the truck. &a bigger tires. What all would I need to do on the truck? Everything is stock. I'm thinking 37 inch tires once I lift it but will look too small?

- What causes the raw gas smell on the drivers side of a 1994 Ford explorer xlt 4x4? Raw gas smell coming out from drivers side near gas tank, saw a rusted spot on the top gas line at rear near tank. Also off topic but the gas gauge says empty when according to specs it still has 4 to 6 gallons left.
- Stock rims on 01 ford explorer xlt painted black on 31 or 32 in tires? What's your opinion should i change the rim completly. Or spray the stock rims black on bigger tires
