If this piece can be removed? 5.0l v8 manifold?
This is a upper intake manifold for a 2000 ford explorer 5.0l v8 engine. This pipe has rusted and started leaking in the rear near the fire wall and I need to know if I need to get a new manifold or if i can get this pipe pulled and pressed with a new one.
The easier way is to get a manifold from a junkyard. Removing and installing a pressed fitting will be expensive. You can remove the manifold and take it to a machine shop and get an estimate.
Put some jb weld on it and use fiber tape to make sure it does not drip inside the pipe it will take a day or so to dry depending on temperature
If you can source another pipe like that one, even if it's a nozzle similar for something else(you'd probably get on on eBay) you could drill the old one out carefully, thread the new one to say m6 thread, tap the hole to M7 thread, use an m6 thread insert into the m7 then the pipe into the m6, that's if there's no specific pipe on the other side and it's just open, remember it needs to be sealed off somewhat so use liquid gasket when putting in the new one & maybe some plumbers tape

- Does the oil pan have to be removed to change the rear main seal on a ford 3.0L V6 in a 2000 ford ranger? I have the engine removed from the truck and was swaping in a salvaged engine that all checks out good except for a slight leaking rear main seal. So, after inspecting the rear main seal, it appears as though a could just slide it out and a new one in. Does the oil pan need to be removed? Or can I just carefully remove the old seal and clean the surfaces good and install a new one?
- 2014 Ford Mustang v6 top speed with driveshaft replaced and rev limiter removed? Can anyone tell me the top speed a 2014 mustang v6 305 hp will run as a top speed with the limiter removed and the driveshaft replaced. I aware that the rev limiter stops the car at 115mph and its due to the driveshaft snapping at 135mph. I have ordered a new aluminum drive shaft and am awaiting its arrival but I have been wondering what the top speed of the car is with that being replaced. Also my rev limiter has already been removed.
