I have 94 Ford explorer Eddie Bauer 4 door 2wd 4.0 I changed the alternator from a 95 amp to a 130 amp and now it tries to stall

Unlikely to be any connection with the amps perhaps a problem with the connections.

Check for a bad fuel pump relay.

It will do it random only when I stop or let it idle but at random times and the volt gauge bounce around cause with the old 95 amp alternator it didn't do this

  • Is a 130 amp alternator good for a 1200w system? I have a 1999 Ford Taurus SE and I recently looked up stock alternators to see how many amps my alternator was putting out. Everywhere I look i see 130 amps and I wanted to know if that is good (higher end, lower end, or average). And if you could, give me an example of how many amps are bad, and how many amps would be really good for a 1200w system.

  • Where is the purge valve on 98 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer v6 engine? I have code P0455 and was told its the purge valve. I was quoted $330 to fix it.Im just going to fix it myself.so where is this purge valve? I think my engine is 4.0? I just need to replace this purge valve… Also, is vent control valve the same as a purge valve. Just a different name? I'm clueless, please help me.
  • Where is the aux input on the 2006 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer? It has button with aux on it, mute wth a phone symbol under it. It's suppose to be the luxury version so we would think it had an aux input
