How to connect the parking brake cable on a 1995 Ford Explorer?

I have a 1995 Ford Explorer. I went to have it inspected, and the parking brake doesn't hold. When I looked behind the left rear brake, I noticed the brake cable isn't connected to the back plate. I'm not a mechanic, so I'm not sure what clip or connector is used, but I need to know what it is called and how to connect it.Is there anyone who can help me figure out what I need to buy for it?

You would have to take that wheel off & disassemble the brake a bit to do that. Best let a pro do it. M I figured it out. Got it taken apart and the whole internal brake assembly was missing. Going to put on tomorrow.
