How to clean sugar out of my gas tank?

I have a 2000 ford explorer, and someone put sugar in my gas tank, my neighbors informed me that they put it in there before I even started it. So I just need to know what I need to do to clean it out?

So who did it. You should see sugar all around the filler neck. Take an LED small flashlight, hold open the filler neck flap with a screwdriver, big enough handle so can't fall in tank. Look in neck.

This sounds fishy. Call the neighbors and say I think I know who did this, where they driving a red two door sports car, if they say "yes" say OK thanks and hang up. Then you know they are lying.
Or if you think has really been done then file a police report and list them as witnesses.
If was a cup or two it will just sit at the bottom of the tank. If they put a 3 pound bag, you could drive the car to a mechanic and have them let the car run and then change the fuel filter. You can drive a few weeks and change it again to see if any sugar is in there.

A shop that deals with gas tank replacement may be able to put a camera in the tank or siphon out the gas and clean the tank with out taking it down.

Why would someone do that, even though my 02 Accord se isn't my envision of sports or performance of any kind in any car or truck (thank parents for safety, screw it). I have grown to accept it, it also allows me to abuse it and push it the way cars these days with all their sharing would never let me do. I can't wait to get the knowledge to abuse the innards. I've been a performance people since birth no matter tech, food, anything. I would find the person and introduce them to a Plasmid or a set of skills that I have acquired.

Only way is drop the tank and clean it out if they put a lot in it.
But don't panic, , sugar does not desolve in gasoline.
So it will just sit in the bottom of the tank as if were sand. There's a filter on the fuel pump in your tank and another on your fuel line that would filter out this " sugar/sand ". If they put enough in, it could clog your filters.

Google " sugar in gas tank myth " to read more for yourself.

A) Check to see if there are signs of sugar in the filler neck.
b) If you believe that they were telling you the truth, call the police and report the vandalism.
c) Call your mechanic.

You will have to drop the tank, Did you turn the ignition to the on position? If you did, then it has entered the fuel pump!
First, verify there's evidence that there's sugar in the filler neck (And their not just telling you that) You will have to remove the tank, fuel pump assembly, then, it will have to be emptied and flushed out.

NOTE: You may want to move out of this neighborhood!

You have to take apart your exhaust pipe
