3D Printed Brush Guard?
Okay, so I'm thinking of starting a project that is me turning an old Ford Explorer into the Jurassic Park Tour Jeep. One my biggest problems is that some of the parts haven't been made in years, like the brush guard, which is a GoRhino guard, the part ID being 90379M. Thing hasn't been made in years, so what if I was to 3D print one? Would that work? (If you're asking, no I don't plan to actually use this brush guard as an actual guard. Just looking for replacements for needed parts)
Okay
If it was purely for appearance only that might work, but do you really have access to a 3D printer that large?
- F150 can't open hood with grille guard, solution? I have a 2007 F150 and just bought a Top Gun brand Grille Guard for it, after I installed it I tried to open my hood and the Grille hits the Grille Guard thanks to Ford's dumb but idea of attaching the grille to the hood. The Grille Guard doesn't have a release so that it leans forward to open the hood does anyone know of a solution so I don't have to push on my grille to pop it loose and get it open?
- Can you remove the plastic ignition lever/guard around the ignition lock on a 2002 Ford F150? In my 02 F150 there's a plastic sleeve thing around the ignition lock that the key fits into. Is it possible to remove this and reinstall it without breaking it? How?
- Ford Explorer Sport Brush Guard? I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport XLT and i'm trying to buy a brush guard. All of the brush guards i'm looking at keep saying Explorer Sport Trac. Are they the same parts or different?
- What grill guard should I buy? I recently purchased a 2002 ford escape, and want to do some exterior mods in order to make my car look more rugged and utilitarian. Which of these grill guards do you think accomplishes my purpose more? http://www.carid.com/2002-ford-escape-grill-guards/steelcraft-grille-guard-866965.html or http://www.carid.com/2002-ford-escape-grill-guards/westin-safari-light-bull-bar-368417.html
