What trim package should I get?
I'm a 16 year old male and I have decided that I'm going to buy a 2003-2006 Ford Expedition 4WD for my first car. Don't tell me to buy something smaller and more fuel efficient like a small hatchback Civic. I will only buy a Ford SUV. I'm debating between XLS, XLT, XLT Sport, Eddie Bauer, or Limited. Which one should I get? I want it to look professional. What options should I go for? Should I get cloth seats or leather seats?
Your best bet is Eddie Bauer or Limited. It's the most equipped.
Also avoid cloth seats, they are hell to clean and maintain. Spill some soda or coffee on it and it will never come out. Leather seats on the other hand can be cleaned to look like new if you have a cloth and glass cleaner. If your budget allows go for the Limited.
- Should i use primer when painting a gray bumper trim? I recently bough "rust-oleum trim and bumper paint" to paint the trim on my bumper. The trik on my bumper is like a dull gray color. Should I use black primer on it or should i just spray the pain on? I heard it peels without the primer and i want a dee black look to match my truck. (2005 ford ranger xlt)
- I have a '99 Ford Ranger with the 4x4 Off Road package. Does this include a heavy duty suspension? It's also a 6cyl 4.0 liter. I need to know because I need to change my rear parking brake cable and it specifies with or without heavy duty suspension. How would I know?
- 1998 3.0L 4x4 Manual Ford Ranger towing 1500lbs with tow package? I'm not too worried about it on the freeway, how will it do on moderate uphill road? I want to buy a boat and take it up to the lake. The boat I'm looking at weighs about 900 lbs, so I'm making a liberal estimate with trailer, gear, and gas.
- Should I trade my 2014 Nissan Maxima base for a 2011 Ford Mustang Base sports package? It would be a even trade. The Mustang has the Mustang sports package with includes pipes, and a upgraded engine. Any suggestions. I would be trading a 2014 for something that is older, but better. My maxima has a sunroof, and power seats, and the Mustang doesn't.
